Department to host RHIC/STAR Experiment Analysis Meeting

2013-05-09

The Physics Department and the High-Energy Nuclear Physics Group are hosting the RHIC/STAR Experiment Analysis Meeting on July 16-19, 2013.  50-70 STAR collaborators will discuss current and future STAR physics analyses and upgrade projects. A few theorists will also be invited to share their thoughts in physics topics of current interest to STAR. This analysis meeting will also be used to scrutinize physics presentations scheduled for the Strangeness Quark Matter 2013 International Conference to be held in Birmingham, UK, the week after. STAR holds Analysis Meetings twice a year. Purdue hosted an Analysis Meeting back in 2005.
