Professor Ian Shipsey appointed to joint DoE/NSF panel

Purdue Professor Ian Shipsey has been appointed to PASAG the new joint DoE and NSF Particle Astrophysics Scientific Assessment Group.  The scientific scope of PASAG includes exploring the particle nature of dark matter, understanding the fundamental properties of dark energy, and measuring the properties of astrophysically generated particles (including cosmic rays, gamma rays, and neutrinos).

PASAG will identify and evaluate the scientific opportunities, options and funding required to mount  a world-class program that addresses the highest priority science in particle astrophysics.
